He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey M. Perkins and Nina B. Perkins; his brother Harvey Perkins; and his grandson Brandon Thompson. He is survived by: his close friend Deryl F Thompson; his children, Jacqueline Perkins, Teresa Thompson and Larry Thompson (Michelle Thompson); his sister Jenni; his daughter-in-law Sharon Pritchet; his grandchildren, Faith Thompson, Christian Thompson, Courtney Thompson and Amber Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Brandon Thompson, Blayne Gordon and Elijah Thompson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the San Jacinto Funeral Home (14659 East Fwy, Houston, TX 77015). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the San Jacinto Memorial Park (14659 East Fwy, Houston, TX 77015).
