With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ida Papillion of Houston, Texas, born in Lawtell, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ida left this world on November 2, 2024 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Sr. Victorian and Amy Victorian; her husband Nelson Antoine Papillion; her brothers, Joseph Lee, Jay Arthur and Michael Randall Victorian; and her granddaughter Roxanna Robinson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bernadette Lewis (Roderick Sr.) and Demetual Ann Watts (Simon); her grandchildren, Roderick Lewis Jr. (Ivan), Sasha Monae Papillion, Rainbow Lewis, London Simone Watts, Char'Meka, Toynika and Melanie Lewis; her great grandchildren, Ronald, Isaiah, Kyla, Zemirah, Ayden, Algernon and Alexander; and her siblings, Willie Victorian, Sidney Victorian Jr. (Lillie), John Kenneth Victorian, Rickey Victorian (Patricia), Josie Victorian, Dolores Bellard (Larris) and Gloria Papillion (Bobby). She is also survived by Aunts, sister in laws, brother in laws, nephews, nieces, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Paradise Funeral Home (10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM.
