He was loved and cherished by many people including: his friend Jim McConn; his parents, Colt and Astros; his wife Catherine; his children, Mary Pat (late Robert Bobo), Maureen (late Jim Leonard), Kathleen Jones, Michael (Karen), Tim (Kata), Tom (Frederika) and Kevin; and his siblings, Rosemary Walker (late Pink) and Patrick (Joanne).

His loyalty was rewarded with his fortuitous hiring by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word to assist with the corporate modernization of their health care facilities in Texas, Louisiana and California.
