He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Louise and Howard F. Smith Jr.; his wife Adelaide Scott; his daughter Adelaide Burgher; his son-in-law Robert Snell; and his sister Louise Neuhaus.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marion Wade (Neal) and Lib Snell; his son-in-law Bedford Burgher; his grandchildren, Neal Wade (Mary), Scott Wade (Katie), Charlie Snell, Adelaide Blandford (Ben), Ford Burgher, Louise Matherne (Matt) and Frank Burgher (Hadley); his great grandchildren, Cinco, Cooper, Hunter Wade, Howard, Jonathan, Peter Wade, Robert Blandford, Lewis, Teddy, Addie Cate, Archer, Nancy Burgher, Vincent, Isaiah, Adelaide Matherne, Frances and Whit Burgher; and his niece Karen Schneider (Howard).
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at the Christ the King Presbyterian Church (1201 Silber Rd, Houston, TX 77055).
