With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hector Luis Rivera of Houston, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 20, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgilio Rivera and Esther Lugo; and his son Hector L. Rivera Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ilda Iris Rivera; his daughters, Teresita Rivera-Dowdy and Marisela Rivera; his brother Cruz Rivera; his sons-in-law, Kevin Dowdy and Calvin Robinson; his grandchildren, Shermel Moven, Elizabeth Rivera, Marsierra Pierce and Hector L. Rivera III; and his close friends, Willy Ventura and Toby Tobias.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM and at 12:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (8706 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075). A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, TX 77075).
