With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel C. Prince of Houston, Texas, who passed away on February 25, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samual Cain (Jannie Cain) and Jannie Cain; her husband Don Prince; her son Fred Woods; and her siblings, Jethro, Sam and Edward.
She is survived by: her brother Louis Cain (Verdi) of Rialto, California; her children, Jannie Woods of Houston, TX, Brenda Rhodes of Houston, TX and Donald Prince (Glinder) of Houston, TX; her daughter-in-law Gloria; and her close friend Scotty. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt Pleasant Baptist Church (970 Glenn Ave, Houston, TX 77088). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Paradise Funeral Home (10401 W Montgomery Rd, Houston, TX 77088).
