She is survived by: her husband Albert Salas; her children, Sarah Imelda Chavez (Lucio Linares), Enrique Chavez III (Miranda King), Marcela Chavez (Robert Ramos) and Mellissa Marie Chavez (Pablo Moguel Juarez); her grandchildren, Nathan, Ilyanna, Ceseli, Jayden, Destiny, Daisy, Donnie, Dominic, Sierah, Karen, Abby, Bonnie, Eduardo, Natalie, Angelica, Jaydah, Kimberly, Noah and Melanie; and her siblings, Sylvia Rivera, Ruben Jr., Ricardo, Roberto and Rolando Rodriguez.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Brookside Funeral Home (13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039). A prayer was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (501 Tidwell Rd, Houston, TX 77022).
