She was predeceased by: her sons, Alex Buentello and Mark Buentello; her former husband Alex Buentello; her brother Oscar Valverde, Jr.; and her father Oscar T. Valverde, Sr. (Guadalupe R. Valverde).
She is survived by: her husband Tommy Salinas; her children, Christine Lopez (Robert Lopez) and Oscar Buentello (Marcy Buentello); her siblings, Velma Bentley and Paul Valverde; and her close friend Harvey. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Miller Funeral Services & Cremation Society of Texas (7723 Beechnut St, Houston, TX 77074).
