He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Edgar, Eloisa Matteson, Jesse and Margaret Canales. He is survived by: his wife Tina Co; his parents, Gil Co and Gloria Co; his brothers, Thomas Co (Virginia) and Eric Co (Natalie); and his nephews, Austin and Luca.

In lieu of flowers, the Co family wishes to have donations made to the Houston Public Library Foundation.

“Tina, I still remember like it was yesterday when Gill and I went to lunch (China Garden in Downtown) and he told me about meeting you. He was an incredible person with great sense of humor and even after he left Judge Patronella's office, we kept in touch. Last post from him was about Bandit... And I kept wondering why I don't see any more from him on FB. Visited his page and saw... Words cannot express how truly sorry I am. He will be missed.”
