He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, LeRoy Norris and Joyce Norris (Hebert); his wife Hilda Norris; his children, Misti Norris of Dallas, Gary Norris Jr. (Taylor) of Boston and Luke Norris of Beaumont; his stepchildren, Robert Bernal of Raleigh, Noel Maldonado of Dallas, Damien Maldonado of Dallas, Cristina Zuniga of Katy and Javier Padilla of Hempstead; his siblings, Rickie Norris (Deanna) of Port Arthur, Terry Norris (Donna) of Port Arthur, Amber Ramirez (Roland) of Port Arthur, Tammy Norris of Port Arthur and Velvet Bergeron; and his stepdaughter Vickie Bernal.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's honor can be made to the St. Jerome Vincentian Center, a local chapter of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, also at 8825 Kempwood Drive.
