We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2025, at the age of 91, Evelyn Smith (Houston, Texas), born in Gueydan, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Marceaux and Rose Marceaux (Calatine); her husband Euger Smith Jr. (Junior); her daughter Kathleen Smith; and her brother Dupre Pierre Marceaux.
She is survived by: her sons, Patrick Smith and Kenneth Smith; her grandchildren, Kristina Pretzsch Jackson (Don), Gary Pretzsch Jr. (Sarah), Stephen Pretzsch (Shanna), Melanie Stryk (Taylor), Alison Smith and Caroline Smith; and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Hadlee, Harper, Hope, Griffin, Connor, Cameron and Hayes.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peevey Funeral Home (12440 Beamer Rd, Houston, TX 77089). A rosary was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 6:15 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers a donation to Houston Hospice can be made.
