She is survived by: her parents, George Alexander and Ruby Magdeline Shade (Thompson); her spouse Marvin Harvey Preston; her children, Lawrence A. Preston (Larry), Marva Leigh Preston-Coleman, Theresa Butts-Alford of Huntsville, TX, Gerald Butts (Pamela) of Houston, TX, Craig J. Butts (Kimberly) of Onalaska, TX and Dayna Butts-Greenleaf (Rick) of Boulder, CO.; and her grandchildren, Amber Leigh Coleman of Fort Wayne, Britney Leigh Dietz (Coleman), John T., Christie Marie Arce (Hector Arce) of Houston, TX and Christina "Tina" Marie Davison.
