He was predeceased by: his siblings, Noe, Ventura Jr., Hortencia, Eloisa, Ninfa and Olga; and his son Emilio Hernandez Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Maria; and his children, Consuelo Hernandez, Randy Hernandez, Roger, Julie Hernandez, Maria Alicia, Richard Vrana, David and Daniel Meraz. He is also survived by 36 great grandchildren, 37 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home (6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023). A committal service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
