As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Elisabeth may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kaethe Behnecke and Paul Behnecke. She is survived by: her husband Stan; and her children, Jeanette (Peter Schwab) of Glenview, Illinois, Paul (Karin) of Sugar Land, Texas and Monica (Juerg Zimmermann) of Baar, Switzerland. She is also survived by seven grandchildren their spouses & partners, one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (8200 Roos Rd, Houston, TX 77036). The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that any memorial donations or contributions be made to either the German-Texan Heritage Society (http://www.germantexans.org), The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (http://www.givenow.lls.org) or to a charity of one's own choosing.
