He was predeceased by: his parents, H. H. Smith and Grace Smith; his siblings, Lambly Smith and Cecile Russell (Vicki Smith); and his son Derrick Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Gavin, Hunter (Teri) and Sabrena (Kent); his daughter-in-law Yvonne Smith; his grandchildren, Valerie (Vince), Brandon, Meagan (Andrew), Lauren (Jonathen), Kameron, Garrett (Cecilia) and Blake; and his great grandchildren, Dakota, Adrienne, Avery and Noah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the San Jacinto Funeral Home (14659 East Fwy, Houston, TX 77015). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the San Jacinto Memorial Park (14659 East Fwy, Houston, TX 77015).
