He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Evaristo Sanchez and Tomasa Teresa Benavides Sanchez; his wife Josephine Diaz Sanchez; and his siblings, John Nieto, Lawrence Nieto, Daniel Neto, Gilbert Sanchez, Pete Sanchez and Grace Joyce Nieto.
He is survived by: his children, John A. Parra Sr. (Patti Martinez Parra), Cynthia J. Parra, Stephanie S. Sanchez (Jeanie Low), Don Trevino and Emit Trevino (Melinda John-Trevino); his grandchildren, Tony, Rosanna, Kira, Anthony, Maria, Jonathan, Gabrianna, Emerson, Everen, Don Jr., Taylor, Brandalyn, Kariah and Emit Jr.; his great grandchildren, Jazmine, Ariel, John III, Elizabeth, Natalia, Marcus, Aden, Blake, Dominic and Bryce; and his siblings, David Sanchez (Maria Pallarez-Sanchez) and Linda Sanchez-Fotinos (Spyros Fotinos). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
