With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Marshall Sr. of Houston, Texas, who passed away on January 9, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Marshall and Carrie Marshall; his sisters, Susie Marshall Simpson (Samuel), Alice Marshall Robinson (Coleman) and Josephine Marshall Davis (Joseph); and his brother-in-law Robert Lyles (Marguerite).

He is survived by: his children, Amelia and Perhaps; his wife Catherine; his children, Valerie Marshall Williams and David Marshall, Jr. of Bowie, MD; his siblings, Marguerite Lyles of Columbus, GA and Issac Marshall of Columbus, GA; and his grandchildren, Kent Marshall Schaffer of New York, NY, Rosa Catherine Marshall, Cassandra Marie Marshall of Bowie, MD, Monique Williams, Ted Williams, Jr. (Tarkitha) of Houston, TX. and Lance Williams (Muriel) of Houston, TX.. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
