He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Phillips and Lucille Reed Phillips; and his brother Duane Joe Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Deanne Glier; his sons, Darron (Tammy) of Arlington, TX and Drew of Buda, TX; his granddaughters, Whitney Phillips of New York City and Dr. Wendy Phillips of Fort Worth, TX; and his siblings, Dan Phillips of Altavista, VA, Don Phillips of Justin, TX and D'Anne Phillips of Steinhatchee, FL..
A burial was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
