He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Warwick and Jay Carl Warwick. He is survived by: his brother Tommy Warwick; his wife Nancy Hensler Warwick; his daughters, Karla and Julie; his sons-in-law, Scott and Alan; his grandchildren, Daniel Baker (Kristen), David Baker (Jana), Jay Chapman (Dinell), Gregory Chapman, Jr. (Emma) and Drs; his great grandchildren, Luke, Ellie, Aubrey, Scottie, Bennett, Charlotte, Caleb, Morgan, Cade and Sloane; his sister-in-law Debbie Hensler Fitzgerald (Kinney); his niece Gena Hutto (Dean); his nephews, Chad and Ryan; and also, Molly and Heather.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Champion Forest Baptist Church (15555 Stuebner Airline Rd, Houston, TX 77069).

He continued with baseball being Chairman of the Major League Baseball Alumni organization, overseeing charity golf tournaments to benefit distressed players.
