She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Robisheaux Sims and Sealy Brace; her adoptive father James Sims; and her husband Ronald Pitts. She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Ann Falsone (Michael) of Richmond, Texas and Gregory Albert Burton (Miki) of Houston, Texas; her stepson Glenn Pitts of Goliad, Texas; and her sisters, Josie Bennett of Houston and Joyce Wolf of Lafayette, Indiana. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (238 N Commercial St, Goliad, TX 77963). A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery (6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023).
