He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Richard and Elvina Richard; his in-laws, Wallace Leon and Annie Bell Proctor (Hattie Edna Richard); his grandson Michael Rene Proctor; and his siblings, Albert Richard, Gladys Richard, Alice Vaughn and Mercedes Guillory.
He is survived by: his wife Hattie Richard; his children, Alvin (Stephena), Henrietta, Henry, Anthony (Tommie) and Shawn; his grandchildren, Becky (Larry), Alvin Jamaal, Baron (Alecia), Johnathan, Tiffany, Zelika and Gabriel; and his son-in-law Zenebe.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:25 PM at the Troy B. Smith Professional Services Chapel (9013 Scott St, Houston, TX 77051). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at the Houston Memorial Gardens (2426 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581).
