He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Johnson and Mary Johnson; his father-in-law Merlin Dunahoo; and his siblings-in-law, Darlene Northam and Rick Brock.

He is survived by: his wife Dana; his daughter Jody; and his siblings, Donny Johnson (Cathy) of Star, TX, Lisa Greak (Don) of Clute, TX, Bobby Northam of Lake Jackson, TX and Pat Northam (Patty) of Lake Jackson, TX. He is also survived by extended family including his treasured uncle, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Joe Dan's honor, delivered to the family home in Horseshoe Bay. His family will be sharing the donations with the many organizations near and dear to his heart, as well as grief support groups and cancer research.
