He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Burgess and Phyllis Burgess (Demery); his brother-in-law Don Girten; and his parents-in-law, Rosemary and Walt Girten.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Girten-Burgess of Horseshoe Bay; his parents-in-law, Diane, Bill Collins, Marian, Art Briggs, Ken, Ginny Girten, Mary Kay, Dave Henzel, Art Girten, Lori, John and Leslie Girten; and his brother Carl Burgess (Rose). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends.
