He was predeceased by: his mother Opal Smith (McCullough) of Hooks. He is survived by: his wife Susan Saxild Smith of Hooks; his children, Stacey Robertson (Quincy) of New Boston and Gary Smith of Hooks; his stepgrandchildren, Amber Robertson, Jennifer Hawks (Dustin) and Braxton Robertson; his great grandchild Evelynn Hawks; his sister Betty Ann Essam (Jim) of Oregon; and his mother-in-law Julia Saxild. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
