He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Bagwell McQuay; his parents, Ludie Kenneth and Viola L. McQuay; his siblings, Vernice Darlene Kelly, Buela McQuay, Connie Rooks, Kenneth L. McQuay and Douglas McQuay of Arkansas; his grandson Johnny R. McQuay; his daughter-in-law Sandra McQuay of Texas; and his great grandchild Taylor Clay of Oklahoma.

He is survived by: his children, Ross McQuay (Sharon), Kenneth R. McQuay of Texas, Deborah Plew (Mike), Greg McQuay (Kim) of Oklahoma and Vickie Nelson (Rick) of Arkansas; and his siblings, Annabel Lowery, Wanda Powers, Sherry Deathridge and Philip McQuay of Arkansas.
