She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Shelton and Mattie Shelton (Edwards); her husband Billy Eugene Stephens; her children, Billy Stephens (Rita) and Susan Brown; and her grandchildren, Abby Clopton (Bryce), Daniel Brown and Elizabeth Callaghan (Vinny). She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
