He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Sims Fleming and Nancy Chaffin Fleming; his wife Hazel Irene Blankenship; and his siblings, Eugene, Sims, Avery, Bert, Morris Clifton Fleming, Maggie Dodd and Iris Hall.

He is survived by: his daughter Peggy Don Fleming (Kimo) of Paris, Texas; his grandson Nicholas Finney of Dallas, Texas; and his sister Patricia Ann Perkins of Crowley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
