He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Eugene Long and Ethel Daisy Montgomery Long; and his siblings, Clifton Long, Everett Long, Walter N. Long, Curtis A. Long, Gladys Kemmitz and Florence Elliott.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Mindi Gilliam (Andrew), Kyle Kappmeyer, Kevin William Jr., Mitchell, Lauren and Emma Long; and his brother Joe W. Long of Brownwood. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
