It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosa V. Alvarez of Hondo, Texas, who passed away on September 6, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Epifania F. Valenzuela and Bravilio Valenzuela; her husband Guadalupe L. Alvarez; her sons, James Edward Alvarez, Christopher Alvarez and John Alvarez; and her siblings, Lydia Carrasco and David Valenzuela.

She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth Sanchez (Rey), Sylvia Ortiz (Miguel) and Mary Soliz (Rudy). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
