He was predeceased by: his parents, James Levan and Winnie Bell Aynesworth; his in-laws, Roger and Frances Robles; his siblings, Frank A. Hayes, J. K. Aynesworth, Jimmie Sue Davis and Elizabeth Aynesworth; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Dalton Aynesworth and Britani Gary; and his great grandchild Cassian Aynesworth.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Robles Aynesworth; and his children, Gerald (Yvette), Andrew (Shannon), John (Susan) and Katherine (Larry). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and numerous family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hondo Funeral Home (2910 Avenue E, Hondo, TX 78861). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (2102 Ave J, Hondo, TX 78861). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
