The passing of Lucia G. Alcaraz of Hondo, Texas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicolas Garcia and Guadalupe Ruiz Garcia; her husband Pascual Alcaraz; her son Elias Richard Alcaraz; and her siblings, Ramon, Ernesto Garcia and Maria Dominguez.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Perez (Alfredo Rodriguez) of San Antonio, Rachel Alcaraz (Alfredo Camacho), Mary Ida Rodriguez (Robert), Priscilla Alcaraz (Joe Gonzales), Christina Barrios (David Jr.) and Gilbert Alcaraz of Hondo; her daughter-in-law Susan Alcaraz of San Antonio; and her siblings, Virginia R. Garcia of Hondo and Juan Garcia of Bastrop. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (2101 Ave K, Hondo, TX 78861). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
