She was predeceased by: her parents, Arther Roscoe Atherton and Helen Ruth Snyder Atherton; her sister Mary Atherton Baccus (Raymond Joseph Syring); her sons, David Lee Syring and John Dale Syring; her grandson Michael Wade Jackson; and her great grandchild Erek Syring.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Mary Syring Jackson and Robert Edward Syring; her grandchildren, John David Syring, Michael Wayne Jackson, Laura Marie Green-Romans, Leslie Ann Syring Becerra, Jamie Lynn Syring and Stacie Rae Syring; and her great grandchildren, Jacob Syring, Daniel Noel Jackson, Jude Robert Wayne Tweedle, Oliver Eliot Becerra, Jack Nathaniel Green, Sydney JoAnn Jackson, Mara Josephine Green and Ella Juliet Green. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a charitable donation to the Kenedy and /or Karnes City Public Library, in honor of her favorite pastime, reading.
