She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Willis Capps and Nora Belle Deaver Capps; her husband Kenneth W. Owens; her siblings, Kenneth, Wallace, Donald, Melvin Capps (Marilyn) and Wanda Gregg (Dennis); her sisters-in-law, Pat Capps and Bea Capps; and her in-laws, Bennie Owens (Ernestine), Maxine Rawls (Chuck), Woodrow Burgess, Ronald Owens, Preston Owens and B. J. Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Michael Owens (Cris) of Caldwell, Joel David Owens (Teresa) of Merkel, Patti Lyn Scott (Wesley) of D'Hanis, Julie Ann Browning of Hondo and Jeanie Haby (Curtis) of Kerrville; her brothers, Jim Capps and Bill Capps (Sue); and her sisters-in-law, Ann Capps, June Capps, Alice Owens, Mary Beth Burgess and Rebecca Wright. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel (2006 Ave M, Hondo, TX 78861-2442). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hondo Church of Christ (2302 Ave M, Hondo, TX 78861). A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at the Forest Grove Cemetery.
