He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Andreas Martin and Lillian Louise Lindeburg Martin; his parents-in-law, Erma and Ralph Showers (Eva) of Pennsylvania; and his brother-in-law Carl Dean McNew.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Martin of Hondo; his children, Dean Moyer (Carol) of Richfield, Dustin Moyer (Carrie) of Tucson and Lauren Martin of New York City; his siblings, Nelson Martin (Paulette) of Hondo and Ronda McNew of Hondo; and his parents-in-law, Jerry Showers (Carol) of Pennsylvania, Donna Messerman (David) of Pennsylvania and Dorrie Courogen (Chris) of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by four grandchildren; one great-grandson.

Memorials may be made in Jerry's memory to Lymphoma and Myeloma Foundation or the charity of your choice.

“Jerry was a dear friend of mine. Always willing to lend a helping hand. Because of his generosity he let me fish on his tank, this was like a sanctuary to me. We would sometimes go to lunch afterwards and take the back roads home as he told me tales of what it was like in Castroville and Hondo in the past. I will miss deeply. rest in peace brother Tom”
