It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Goldie J. (Castillo) Gallardo of Hondo, Texas, born in Snyder, Texas, who passed away on January 25, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Manuel Cortinez; her brother Pete Zuniga; and her nephew Anthony Sanchez. She is survived by: her mother Oratia Cortinez; her husband Ruben Gallardo; her daughters, Clair Castillo (Anthony Aguirre), Carline "Pinkie" Castillo, Crystal Castillo (Ronnie Coronado), Christie Pina (Ray Hernandez) and Cathy Pina (Birdie Lopez); and her siblings, Liz Castillo, Blanca Hernandez, Angie Cortinez, Nadine Cortinez, Gloria Casias, Millie Cortinez, Sadie Alvarez, Freddy Cortinez and Manny Cortinez. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
