He was predeceased by: his parents, Eliazar Hernandez and Ermelinda Garza Hernandez; his brother Esiquio Hernandez; his grandson Jaden Antonio Hernandez; and his brother-in-law Marcos Robles.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Garcia Hernandez; his children, Ersula J. Yasin (Amir), Eve M. Hernandez, Lisa M. Sanchez (Jason) and Ernesto Hernandez Jr. (Elizabeth); his siblings, Elisa Robles, Elida Rodriguez (Ruperto), Elsa Breeling (Charles), Eliazar Hernandez Jr. (Lorna), Edwardo Hernandez (Benita) and Emilio Hernandez (Odette); and his sister-in-law Diana Hernandez. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (2101 Ave K, Hondo, TX 78861). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
