He is survived by: his wife Olga Figueroa Alvarado; his children, Efrain Figueroa (Desiree), Bianca Reyes (Robert), Vanessa Alvarado Valdez (Joseph), Tonya Figueroa (Priscilla), Sonya Alvarado and Monica Gonzalez (Daniel); and his brother Reynaldo Alvarado (Carmen). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
