He was predeceased by: his father David Castro Hernandez (Fransisca Salazar Hernandez); his brother Frank Hernandez; his grandsons, Doroteo Joshua Hernandez, Justin DeLeon and Alejandro Ortega; and his great grandchild Alexander DeLeon.
He is survived by: his significant other Ignacia Hernandez; his sister Janie Hernandez (Ruben); and his children, Tereso Hernandez (Tammy), Michael Hernandez (Jaqueline), Christine Hernandez Ortega, Criselda Vosquez (Jimmy) and David Hernandez (Lauren). He is also survived by 12 Grandkids, 17 Great Grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (2102 Ave J, Hondo, TX 78861). A rosary was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at the Hondo Cemetery.
