She was predeceased by: her parents, Ramon Leon and Anita De Leon; her husband Paz Lara; her daughter Damiana Vargas; her stepchildren, Cindy Gonzales, Paz Lara, Jr. and Gilbert Lara; and her grandchildren, Samantha Paula Vargas and Benjamin Vizcarra.
She is survived by: her children, Rene Vargas, Max Vargas, Jr., Yvonne Vizcarra (Manuel), Veronica Santoya (Juan Ortiz), Aurora Vargas (Alex Rodriguez) and Laura Soto (William Vaughn); and her stepchildren, Ray Lara, Luciano Lara, Jesse Lara and Teresa Lara. She is also survived by 9 brothers and sisters; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
