With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David C. Benavides of Hondo, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ofelia C. Benavides and Ramiro F. Benavides; his sister Elida Benavides Reyes; and his nephew Ted Benavides. He is survived by: his siblings, Dolores Benavides, Mary Elsa Aguilar (late Domingo), Esperanza B. Hernandez (Albert), MaryLou Garza (Jesse), Belma Benavides (Abran Hernandez), Oscar C. Benavides (late Delia), Erasmo Benavides (Diana) and Ricardo Benavides (Nelida).
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hondo Funeral Home (2910 Avenue E, Hondo, TX 78861). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at the Hondo Cemetery.
