He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfredo Valenzuela and Antonia Castillo Valenzuela; and his brothers, Juan Gonzales, Jose "Kiko" Gonzales and Jesse Gonzales.

He is survived by: his wife Esperanza "Hope" Reyes Valenzuela; his children, Mark Valenzuela (Linda) of Hondo, Victor Valenzuela (Kim) of San Antonio and Veronica Valenzuela of Hondo; his grandchildren, Andrew, Hayden Hickman, Blake, Illianna, Victor Valenzuela Jr., Tyler, Kaitlynn, Vincent Gonzales, Hayden Tatum, Alini and Anna Gonzales; and his great grandchild Dominic Gonzales.
