He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence "Buddy" Tate and Lela Mae Cox Tate; his wife Tanya Crossland Tate; and his son Chandler Adam Tate. He is survived by : his children, Rachel Tate Miller (Robert), John Wiley Tate, Jr. (Kristin) and Courtney Dawn Tate; and his pet Shiloh. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
