With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Ray Edwards of Hockley, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 26, 2025 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Edwards and Alpha Edwards; his brother Melvin; his grandson Kirby Killion Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Auippa.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Fay Edwards; his children, David Auippa, Charles Edwards and Kimberly Killion (Kirby); his stepdaughter Jennifer Wallace; his brother Coy Wayne Edwards (Linda); his grandchildren, Lisa Carter (Jason), Megan Killion, James Killion, Randal Mentz II, Jenna Mentz, Dylan Gladden, Athena Wallace and Justin Auippa; and his great grandchildren, Madison Weaver, Kaden Carter, Haisley Carter, Colten Carter and Karson Killion. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Canon Funeral Home (1420 Farr St, Waller, TX 77484). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the San Jacinto Cemetery (14659 East Fwy, Houston, TX 77015).
