We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2022, at the age of 93, Maurice Eugene Gillioz Jr. of Hitchcock, Texas, born in Galveston, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Eugene Gillioz, Sr. and Katherine Locke (McPeters); his stepfather L. A. "Shorty" Locke; his wife Alice Marie Gillioz (Youngman); his grandsons, Mark Lamson and Gene Lamson; and his siblings, David Locke and Vivian Pearson.
He is survived by: his children, David Eugene Gillioz (Susan) of Texas City, Diana Marie Lamson (Robert) of Hitchcock and Nyla Kay Williams (John) of Hitchcock; and his siblings, Kenneth Nyles Locke (Mary Ann) of Frankston, Texas, Opal Alice Hill of Ingleside, Kathryn L. Wilson (James) of Sweetwater, Betty Jo Clayton of Santa Fe, JoAnn Gimalva of Dickinson and Margaret Hunt (Wade) of Santa Fe. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
