It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin Pete Rygaard Jr. of Hitchcock, Texas, born in Galveston, Texas, who passed away on January 20, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Rygaard, and Maxine Rygaard, Sr. (Franklin); his daughter-in-law Holly Rygaard; and his parents-in-law, Willard and Margaret Dyer.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Rygaard; his sons, Kevin Rygaard of Hitchcock and Cary Rygaard (Kim) of Burnet, Texas; his sisters, Kay Warren of Hitchcock and Sherry Connor of Hitchcock; and his grandchildren, Austin Rygaard (Lauren) of La Marque, Blake Rygaard (Taylor Houp) of Hitchcock, Madison Rygaard of Burnet, Texas, Brady Rygaard of Burnet, Texas and Lily Rygaard of Burnet, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
