It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Virginia Sorrels (Hitchcock, Texas), born in Texas City, Texas, who passed away on November 29, 2021, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her nephew Joshua DeLeon; and her grandparents, Victor, Guadalupe DeLeon, Jesus and Sevarana Perez.

She is survived by: her husband Kevin Sorrels; her daughter Ayla Marie Sorrels of Watauga; her parents, Ricardo DeLeon and Ofelia DeLeon (Perez) of Santa Fe; her siblings, Victor DeLeon (Lori) of Apple Springs and Jessica DeLeon Hale (Frank) of Santa Fe; her niece Julia Raanes of Santa Fe; and her nephew Dustin Raanes of Santa Fe.
