He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Motl and Amalie Motl (Svajda); his wife Mary Catherine; his daughter Jennifer Williams; and his siblings, Elizabeth Janik, Mary Motl, Dorothy Vitek, Ben, Ervin and Gilbert Motl.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Lou Wheeler (Gregg) of Richardson, Bernard Motl (Debra) of Conroe and Thomas Motl (Marylou Valencia) of Hitchcock; his son-in-law Mike Williams of Friendswood; and his sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Motl of Bellville and Rosie Hadley of Etoile. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel (10412 Hwy 6, Santa Fe, TX 77510). A vigil service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (10114 Hwy 6, Hitchcock, TX 77563).
