He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Dieringer; his children, Betty Jo Patterson, Beverly Ann Goodman (Billy) and John Joseph "Joey" Dieringer, Jr. (Lucy); his sister Joyce Anderson; and his grandchildren, Jonathan VanWagner, Troy Turner, Christopher Neal, Shane Turner, John Dieringer, III, Lisa Dieringer, John, III and Meredith. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
