He is survived by: his wife Frankie Spells; his children, Joe Lee Spells III, Jarre Spells, Jordan Spells and Tisha Lister; his grandchildren, Simaya Spells, Jordan Spells, Jr. and Sarinity Rogers; his mother Ida Mae Spells; his siblings, Anthony Spells (Norma), Cynthia Spells, Yvonne Thibodeaux (William) and Yolanda Wiley (Robert); his extended family Steve Spells; and his brothers-in-law, Frank Rogers, Jr. (Shana), Dennis Triplett, Jerrod Spells and Joseph Vallier. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
