She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Hamerick and Valerie Hamerick (Brewer); her husband C. L. Simpson; her son Lloyd Ray Simpson; and her sister Charlene Cox.
She is survived by: her daughters, Annette Barham (Tommy) of Hitchcock and Tammy Simpson of Hitchcock; and her sisters, Sis Nance of Brackettville and Maxine Light of Kerrville. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
